Series about the life of Renaissance anatomist, scholar and politic Johannes Jessenius.Already legendary series today, was produced by Czechoslovak Television Bratislava, directed by Slovak director Miroslav Luther in the first half of 80's in Barrandov Studios in Prague. The story and screenplay of the series wrote Czech writer Vladimír Körner. Five-episodes epic historical narration is a biographical story of distinguished Renaissance scholar, anatomist and politic of Slovak origin, Johannes Jessenius (Ján Jesenský, 1566–1621). It displays his life from the first studies and successes. In 1594 he became professor of surgery and anatomy on Wittenberg University, which he had attended years before. From that moment, his life went through social and personal wins and losses, to the sad end on the Prague Old Town Square gallows, among 27 noblemen, knights and burgenses, after lose Bohemian Revolt in 1621. His destiny was coupled with key events of Czech history in the break of 16th and 17th century, when Renaissance and European humanism slowly fade out.

Artist Lawrence Abu Hamdan has a sonic research practice that acts to investigate human rights abuses. In this essay film he focuses his “Private Ear” into analysing sonic data generated by the UN to chart the incessant noise pollution emanating from unauthorised Israeli plane and drone flights into Lebanese airspace. His study focuses upon a period of relative silence in Beirut, the streets of the city emptied by the Covid-19 lockdowns of 2020-2021. UN data is combined with video documentation of the skies above Beirut, filmed and gathered by Abu Hamdan. In this space he carefully charts the sonic incursions of the sometimes invisible but ever-present aircraft, manned and unmanned, which the artist describes as “atmospheric violence”.

Araki: The Killing of a Japanese Photographer is a story about a psychotic man who tries to defend the honor of his deceased sister. He sees himself as the Avenger, who fights the rotten core of society. The rotten core is the sex industry, which also caused the death of his sister. The Avenger has singled out an extremist, the Japanese artist Araki as the main culprit. On his crusade against Araki, the Avenger kills innocent people, among others, his sister's daughter. When he finally faces supreme evil in the shape of Araki, his flaming hatred is gone, and he realizes that Araki just took pictures of naked girls.
